What's the status on the newpcm? is it still broken?
When I use newpcm, these problems occur:
1. when I use waveplay to play a file, even after it completely plays the
file (and return to the shell prompt), I still hear about 1-2 seconds of
sound playing repeatedly.
2. when I use xmms or mpg123,

the player and play again right after that, it comes to normal.
Does anybody experience this?
I am using snd0 with crystal semiconductor 4232
that comes with Dell Optiplexsp?

If nobody else is experiencing this, maybe I will sup it again and compile
everything(takes 2.5 hrs so i can't do it everyday) from the new source
tree and see what happens.
