i'm attempting to build a kernel with the "old style" voxware drivers for
the CS423x (crystal sound, or css0 in the kernel config) and i get this
wonderful error torwards the end of the kernel build:

with the latest (ok, 2 days old) version of the kernel source, i've gotten
audio up on my poor little workstation. but, here's the problem: buffer
space.
mp3's play really slowly, other audio apps are fine, up untill you try to
stop them, then the buffer takes around 2 seconds to clear.

i've had ipv6 working with freenet6.net.. well, partially working, the
full feature should work fine soon though.
the tunneling through gif works, and i'm about to test IPSec with IPv4.
more testing is in order though, so, i'll try to pass on some more info
when i have it.

that's very accurate. you'd be better off getting a SNAP image and
upgrading your system from that.

First off, why would you want to go to -current?
for the most part, features in -current, might be pulled back in to
-stable at some point. when -current is actually released, it'll run quite
nicely, but in the meanwhile, it's slightly pointless for most folks to be
running it on anything close
