Re: problem with reboot on 5.0-current with VAIO
When I use reboot(8) to reboot my Vaio z505sx, it waits nicely for the bufdaeon and the syncer to stop. Then the screen goes blank and the system completely hangs. Unplugging the battery and power is the only way to gte it booting again. It used to work fine with a 4.0-current of some 3 weeks ago but a 5.0-current from today gives the above result. Does anyone have a clue? Is this use VM86? The Thinkpads have this problem when the amount of memory that FreeBSD expects is larger than what actually exists, due to memory sizing issues. VM86 is supposed to fix this, although I've not run 5.0 to check it... Nate To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
