I used a 8 gb micro sd card and a card reader
I installed the previous version (r297692) without any error.

My machine is a Lenovo Thinkpad W550s

The image file I used:
FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-amd64-20160429-r298793-memstick.img

FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-amd64-20160429-r298793-mini-memstick.img



I will try it later with another USB drive if I can find another one.

Sorry, early here and haven't had my coffee yet. I would suggest trying a
different USB stick for the installation first. Not an expert but memstick
based installations are the finickiest of them all.
