  It doesn't have serial port. Only FireWire. Hmm! I could try to buy
 FireWire cable, as I have FireWire adapter in my desktop, but, I afraid,
 it could take some time, as is is not very popular format now (and notebook
 has very rare now miniature connector).

  It is hard to be 100% sure without FireWire debugging, as I have
  geom_eli-based full-disk encryption, but looks like it hangs without vt
  (with GENERIC kernel and preloaded i915kms.ko) too. Maybe, I've mistyped
  password 3 times, but it is not very plausible :(
