might want to give NT or OS/2 a whack at it if you've got them laying around. There are programs to let you low level IDE drives out there, I believe they're mostly DOS based though, so that probably doesn't help. Linux worked. (I knew it had to be good for something :-.) Jim Shankland NLynx
