A good start could be to leverage something like sysrc(8) for jail
configuration (as someone already suggested).
Also, nothing enforces the explicit use of jail.conf or reliance on it (it
is just another way to set up jails).
The most important part is jail(8) and properties can be passed to
).
I am not saying there are no better ways to tackle this in the community, I
just needed a solution and decided to put it on Github to share it.

I need to update the docs for iocage, it runs on 9,10 and 11. In the latest
version (1.4.6) the tag name can be used to identify the jail when
executing any of the sub-commands in addition to UUIDs - basically tags and
UUIDs are interchangeable (skarekrow's great idea). I would love to add/see

Hi all,
Just a quick note that I have uploaded a perl script with VNET and ZFS
jails support to sourceforge.net.
It is in very early stages (expect a lot of bugs) and intended only
for testing purposes, README documentation is sparse too (will change
over time).
If anyone is interested please
That VPS solution is exactly what I was thinking of.
Klaus, will this be licensed under BSD? How far is the source release?
