My company would like to hire and pay a developer to fix the issue
described here:

This is issue was opened in 2014 and i believe it affects many mpd users
who would like to run it with many users replacing mikrotiks pppoe
blem because i have 3 different
servers with same issue.
Donald, did you have a chance to try 11-RELEASE? Any other behavior?
Anyone have some idea that could help?

pppoe server on FreeBSD is useless with this bug.

I've been playing with Denverton, but I realized that ethernet devices
wasn't recognized.
I found this commit here enabling X553 support on 10-STABLE:
