I removed x11-toolkits/qt33 from my system and then rebuilt the ports
that were dependent on it with qt-4. Only a few programs absolutely
needed x11-toolkits/qt33 and most of them are about to go away also.

The port version of curl is 7.24.0_2. On February 6th. curl-7.29.0
was released. Is there any possibility that this port might be updated.
A lot of imap support was added to this version. The 7.24 version was
released over a year ago (01/24/12).

Presently net/remmina is at version 0.9.3 in the ports system.
According to the projects web site, Remmina 1.0 was released February
11, 2012. Is there any possibility of having the ports version updated

kdenetwork-4.8.3_2 when libotr-4.0.0 apparently works fine with the

I totally agree. While I do use portupgrade from time to time,
portmanager seems to fix problems that portupgrade can't and that
portmaster just makes worse. Plus, portmanager is much faster than
portmaster

reconfigured the Samba
port to not build with it and then rebuilt the port.
Personally, I believe that WINBINDD should be OFF by default;
however, it is easy enough to configure the port not to build with it.

you installed to get samba to install in the first
place first. While you are at it, move your /etc/make.conf file out of
the way and have the port build with a truly empty file.
