I got an error in upgrading to rubygem-rails-3.0.0. The gem is installed
but portmaster(?) returns an error...

I was wondering if gcalctool needs all of the listed gnome
requirements to build. The Debian stable package of gcalctool 5.22-3,
which is a little dated, only requires gconf2, gnome-icon-theme, libatk,
libc6, libc6.1, libgconf2, libglade2, libglib2, libgtk, libpango, and
libxml.

With respect to Thunar's dependencies, I was wondering if
xfce4-mcs-manager and xfce4-panel are strictly required? The Debian
package of Thunar lists xfce4-panel as a recommendation and makes no
