Yes, it is unset by default.
I changed it to reduce compile time.
(Maybe, some other do it for the same
reason).

Use poudriere to build firefox, then 'pkg add' that locally-build firefox
package.

LLVM_PORT option.

I had the same problem.
Set LLVM_PORT in lang/rust to off and
recompile rust.
This solved the problem with firefox.
