Hello, Building octave on a laptop (i5/8G ram running 9.2-STABLE amd64) seems to run indefinitely (e.g. overnight and it's still building), but on a similarly configured desktop (9.2-STABLE 32G ram) it takes no time (15-20 minutes). Here is a log from the build on the laptop: https://ftfl.ca/octave_3.8.1_2_build_log.txt.
Once the build is killed, the following is output: mv -f corefcn/.deps/corefcn_libtex_parser_la-oct-tex-parser.Tpo corefcn/.deps/corefcn_libtex_parser_la-oct-tex-parser.Plo mv: rename corefcn/.deps/corefcn_libtex_parser_la-oct-tex-parser.Tpo to corefcn/.deps/corefcn_libtex_parser_la-oct-tex-parser.Plo: No such file or directory gmake[3]: *** [corefcn/corefcn_libtex_parser_la-oct-tex-parser.lo] Error 1 gmake[3]: Leaving directory `/wrkdirs/usr/ports/math/octave/work/octave-3.8.1/libinterp' gmake[2]: *** [all] Error 2 Killed I tried turning off tmpfs and setting vfs.zfs.arc_max to 500M, but it didn't make any difference.
