LLVM_PORT option.

I had the same problem.
Set LLVM_PORT in lang/rust to off and
recompile rust.
This solved the problem with firefox.

When running make, there's tons of output.
Is that saved anywhere?
I'd like to be able to log the entire build process while I test ports
before submitting them.
I also tried "make | tr -d "=\n=" "
to strip out the new lines but it seems that when make download dist files
and a few other times
