You can use your updated version, you shouldn't wait to the update in ports tree. Re: TeXLive 2014
Thank for your work, Hiroki! What do you think about options in texlive-texmf? I'm using a small part of texlive-texmf, I don't use e.g. bibtex (I write only small documents, exams), chinese, arabic fonts, etc. - so I don't need these files. Other thing: the source files are needed? Can be an option to install it or not? I've made similar things in PLD Linux some year ago (see http://git.pld-linux.org/gitweb.cgi?p=packages/texlive.git;a=shortlog and http://git.pld-linux.org/gitweb.cgi?p=packages/texlive-texmf.git;a=shortlog ) so maybe I can help in this. I think the /usr/local/etc/pkg.conf is bad. If you rename it to pkg.conf.old can build and install. Re: TeX Live 2014: Notes for FreeBSD users
> As for official TeX Live 2014 distribution: what deficiencies the > FreeBSD version has, i.e. what you can do with Windows version that > you can't do on FreeBSD? I think the texlive-base port/package is working with version 2012. But the texlive-texmf needed to update. I've reported a request [1] almost one year ago with a patch. I can't compile my exsheets-based [2] documents when I want to use the newest exsheets package (yes, I want to use because this package is in active developing and has many-many new features). With texlive-texmf 2013 works well. I'm using "my" updated texlive-texmf (the patch is very "difficult": PORTVERSION, MASTER_SITES and sha256/size info changed) and works well almost one year (with texlive-base 2012 :) ). And as I remember the beamer is changed, can't build newest beamer-based documents with "old" texlive-texmf. So I think the texlive-texmf should update. Texlive-base 2012 works for me. TeXLive-texmf 2013
Hi, I've submitted an update request to update texlive-texmf to 2013 (from 2012), see ports/181675 report [1]. What about this? I'm using 2013 and works without problems. Maybe it's possible it's a user error (pebkac) but what's wrong? Or it's newsbeuter/stfl bug or freebsd-incompatibility? What can I do to solve these problem? Re: Screen vertical split
Sorry, if I was equivocal: * I'm using tmux and I can split vertically (and horizontally, of course :) ) * I'm not using screen but I've installed for a probe and I think isn't possible to split vertically (without patching) Cheers, Zsolt 2013/12/28 Florent Peterschmitt : > Le 28/12/2013 17:07, Zsolt Udvari a écrit : >> 2013/12/28 James Griffin : >>> yeah, it's in the docs I found online, although not in the man page on >>> FreeBSD. >> Ahh. Re: Screen vertical split
Sorry, maybe my information is outdated. There is a patch and I think ubuntu [1] uses this patch. Re: Screen vertical split
As I know it's impossible in screen, see [1]. This was the main reason why I choose tmux. Re: Strange pkg warning message
Do what pkg said :) In /usr/local/etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf should replace: enabled:"yes" to enabled:true And everything will fine Cheers Zsolt 2013/12/1 Derek Tattersall : > I get the following message with any use of pkg. x11-toolkits/girara and graphics/zathura can depend on gtk2 instead of gtk3?
Hello list, This is my first post to list and I hope this is the correct place to ask my question. As I see girara depency changed gtk2 to gtk3 (see http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/183842 ). I don't want/need to install gtk3 if it's possible (I don't have port which depends on gtk3). Girara builds well with gtk2 by "gmake GIRARA_GTK_VERSION=2". Is it possible to build with gtk2 or should I create a bug report/ticket or try create a girara-gtk2 (and zathura-gtk2) port and submit it?
