I therefore assume that I only have version 1.9 installed. Is that
correct?
Third, is there really any reason to go though all that bullshit to
downgrade to the previous version? I have not seen any problems
occurring on my system.

et it to
build. What is so strange is that it build just fine before with
GNUTLS.
You might want to list what versions of the involved programs you have
installed. You might want to contact the maintainer AND file a PR. I
don't waste my time anymore.

In other words, you formerly believed you understood what you thought he
said, but have now realized that what he said was not what you thought?

It has become apparent that the:
[ ] GNUTLS Build with GNUTLS instead of OpenSSL
option in the print/cups-client port is not working. Activating it
causes the port build to fail. Perhaps it is time to remove this option
from the port.

The fact that you are actually going to wait for the
maintainer the port in question to give his permission for you to issue
a warning and hopefully a fix for this problem is pathetic. Seriously,
and I don't mean any disrespect, but what government agency do you work
for? :)
