Actually, this only fixes the display (copy-pasting the number to fx. a
text-editor, will still show the wrong number).
There is no known workaround at this moment

I am trying to install 5.1-RELEASE on an old Compaq Proliant 3000. When
I boot on the cd, and choose 'default' in the bootloader - I get the
following error message - followed by a panic:

I have just purchased a MP3 player - which basically consists of a USB
128MB memory stick, with some audio hardware.. Anyways, when I plug the
USB stick into my 5.1-RELEASE-p3 box, I am seeing the following in
/var/log/messages:
