scbus and da

umass requires the scbus and da scsi drivers, which you commented on
your kernel config. Enable them and it should work fine.

The spam problem is a touchy one, but I'm sure some meassures are taken
at the server level for the mailing lists. I once heard a SPAM attempt
hits the FreeBSD mail servers once a second.
