FreeBSD installation doesn't work

I'm trying to install freeBSD on my pc, but after the installation it  
doesn't boot. It can't find the kernel.
I think it is the problem with my partitioning. i'm trying this order:
/boot
swap
/
/var
/usr
Can you help me how to install in this order?
