DHCPD 2 mac adresses for one host

I have a server running FreeBSD 5.0 with bind 9.2.2 and dhcpd 3.0pl2 For security I made it to where unless your host name and Mac address are defined in the dhcpd.conf file you don't get a lease. I have 3-5 hosts that are laptops with a network adapter that they connect with and also a vpn

Cron and F-prot not working correctly

I have a FreeBSD 5.0 and a FreeBSD 5.2 box both running recent versions of f-prot antivirus when you run the virus def updater through cron it gets halfway through the scripts and then dies. When you run it from the command line it runs correctly. so I wrote my own script that uses ftp instead

has anyone got samba to compile and joined to a domain successfuly for freebsd 5.2 or 5.1 i can get it to compile but when i go to join it to an active directory it chokes it keeps prompting me for a root password like samba isn't acceptin the kerberos authentication i just did

Linux Compatability and RPM

when i try and install this arcserv rpm under linux compatablility mode it gives me 0 bit files for all the asagent files. i am running freebsd 5.0 and i have installed this same package on redhat linux 6.1 and 6.2 and it works correctly does anyone have an idea what i am doing wrong? SAMBA#
