Hi
I would like to be able to use the Windows Key as Meta while using syscons
- it much easier to reach then escape. I have found out with xev that the
scancode of this key is 115. After this I opened the German-Iso-Keymap with
an editor and found out that there are 108 lines with numbers and
Hi
After some playing with CURRENT I decided that 5.1-Release-P2 had all I
wanted, removed /usr/src/sys and installed the files back from CD. After
this I used cvsup to bring the sources up to P2. But now every kernel
compile fails - even GENERIC ! - and I have absolutely no clue why.
This is the
Well, I just deleted all of /usr/src and not just /usr/src/sys and
reinstalled it and now everything works fine again. Although I do not have
to understand what was the cause of the problem I would be gratefull for any
hints, after all I do not want only to use FreeBSD but also learn more

Hi
I already posted this problem once and I have tried to solve this on my own
but I wasnt successfull. I have added my Fat and Fat32-Partitions to my
fstab and two of the four get mounted without any problems. But when I try
to mount the primary partitions on my first and third drive I get the
version
0.13 from it. Now there is version 0.20 avaiable. Will make download and
build 0.13 or 0.20 ?)

Hi
I have just run portupgrade -a for the first time. About 2 hours later I
realized that portupgrade is not only building the port I built myself from
/usr/ports but also the packages which I did install from the CD. I do not
want to build Mozilla or XFree myself, is there a way I can exclude
See http://www.partimage.org. There are a few bootable Linux CDs that
include partimage; I've used the ~40M Gentoo one very successfully on
FAT32 partitions.
Thanks a lot to you and the others who have replied for the advice - this seems to be
what I have been looking for.

Hi
Well, just like the subject says I am for a program or a backup approach
simillar to the one I am currently using. I boot with a Dos-Bootdisk and
use Ghost to backup my Linux-Partitions to a FAT-Partition and then
distribute the images around different computers on the network. I would

Hi
Before adding my Fat32-Partitions to /etc/fstab I have tried to mount them
manually. All Partitions work except one whis is a primary fat16 partition
on my first drive.
This is the error message :
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /mnt mount -t msdos /dev/ad0s1 C
Next free cluster in FSInfo (4294967295)
/dev/ad4s1 /mnt/I msdos rw 0 0
Oh and another thing : What entries do I have to make so that users can
access these partitions and read/write on them ?
Bye

Hello Malcom
I am verry Sorry I seem to have forgotten to include in my first mail that I am not
