Greetings: When I run gnupg using the same rsa key on the same input file I noticed that it returns different cipher text files as resuts. Both the cipher files decrypt to the same plain text file just fine. Can someone explain to my why that is the cipher text is different? Thanks, Brian

Hello, I installed the sylpheed-claws port with the WITH_ALL=YES option. I also loaded the 'dillo-viewer' plugin. However, it still is not using dillo to read HTML mail. Is there something else that I need to do? Thanks /Brian ___ freebsd-questions

HP AMD64 booting problems...

disabling ACPI, safe mode, and going to the boot loader prompt and manually turning off whatever I can think of. Does anyone have any additional suggestions (either to boot it, or provide diagnostics), or will I be trapped to run Windows on this rather powerful machine? :) -Brian

java applications taking up too much memory

Hello, It seems that my java applications are taking up a ton of memory. Even one small jar that I start at startup takes up almost 200 MB! I start it like this: java -Xms4m -Xmx8m -jar /home/brian/serverWatcher/serverwatcher.jar and it looks like this in top: 76750 brian 200 159M
