I assume you're talking about configuring X for 32-bit color. If that's
the case, you need to add a line in the Screen section of
/etc/X11/XF86Config like this:
DefaultDepth 32
Be sure that your card supports this depth before enabling it.

You probably mean the display bit-depth, which is operating-system
independent and depends on your custom Xfree86 configuration.

I'm assuming you mean IA-32 (x86) architecture. The answer is yes.
The freebsd project has expanded to support AMD64, Sparc 64, and
PowerPC chips in addition to Intel/AMD/Cyrix IA-32 chips. (PowerPC
support isn't finished!)
