Hi, This is a question about a hardware problem. I hope this is an appropriate place to ask. I have a recently purchased Lenovo ThinkPad, with a Atheros 5212 wireless card (well, dmesg says it's an Atheros 5212; I believe it). It also has a wired internet connector, which works perfectly fine.

Hi, it's not about the ath-chipset in this case. The chip works fine, but you should take care of the card you buy. Even if the chipset is supported the card might not work at all. So read the manpage and choose a card that is listed there -- including the revision number! I'm using a DWL G650 wh
