Try to move these files out of the way (all INDEX files and pkgdb.db)
/usr/ports/INDEX-*
/var/db/pkg/pkgdb.db
and run (it will take a while)
portsdb -Uu
as another option you can remove the files above and reinstall ruby
and ruby-bdb on those servers.
Are you running on version 7 or 8 ? are
