You could download the live cd Start the computer and insert the boot cd. After it is done with booting select the option fixit and then Live cd. It will ask for the live cd. Then do the following # chroot /dist # mount_devfs devfs /dev >From version FreeBSD 7 You miust use mount -t devfs devfs
