Can anyone advise me the appropriate Samba port to install - the handbook
refers to samba34, but I see samba35 and samba36 in in ports. This is for a
home server, so I'm not necessarily looking for production standard, but
something that just works on RELEASE-8.2 amd64.

I've got the latest samba3 port running on a FreeBSD6 machine. I'm now
seeing a warning that is becoming annoying:
warning: passdb expand explicit = yes is depricated
I am not using this option in my smb.conf file any help appreciated.

upgraded my samba port yesterday, but after, I couldn't reconnect to it.
I found out that the upgrade (using cvsup/portupgrade) removed smb.conf

the samba-devel port has a problem, because version 3.0.1 is not longer
available on samba ftp. the new version is 3.02 and the port stops
downloading
