bitstream
you can put some fonts into your windows/fonts folders, at least make a link
in that folder to refer your existent font.

It seems to work for me, but every time I try to
run any program it rebuilds font metrics spitting
out some fixme's about unknown encodings and
registries, which is truly annoying.
