FreeBSD 3.x ldconfig question

I ran #ldconfig on a FreeBSD 3.4 system and the tcp wrappers no longer work: Shared object libwrap.so.7 not found is the message I get when trying to access services that use tcp wrappers. Can anyone give me an example of the correct ldconfig options to use so that all of my libraries are

Something odd here just started happening. I realize the ldconfig is run on startup to rebuild the library list. And some ports have to add their lib path to this list, for example mysql. Well, now, everytime I reboot, mysql is getting cleaned out of this list. I haven't noticed this before,
