Thanks Karel! You saved my vacation! It did the job.
For some reason, pkgdb hanged at some point while another install
was going on. After that, pkgdb was broken. I don't know why it
hanged in the first place.

Contientiously, I like to run pkgdb -F fairly often, especially if I'm using
portinstall or portupgrade a lot. Recently I've been getting this:
su-2.05b# pkgdb -F
