problems with make world process

I am trying to use the make world process and am having a major problem. Everything goes well until the last step. First I tied upgrading to 4.9 stable by: cvsuping RELENG_4 make buildworld make buildkernel make installkernel reboot (single user) mergemaster -p make installworld mergemaster
