ifconfig -a showed it as autosense. All was well with the
world. Relocated this box to another building (same lan).

I'm trying to get NAT up and running on my FreeBSD
4.7R gateway machine and have hit a bit of a wall.

Recently, the 4GB hard drive started to make strange noises
and drive errors started popping up. So I replaced the hard
drive with the smallest new hard drive I could get hold of

satisfied with the performance of it. Specifically on my
local 100Mbits network the samba read speed on the server
(athlon 1700) is 1Mbit/sec, while the write speed is much
