portupgrade to update arts and then I did a -rf kdelibs portupgrade and
the kaction sounds are back to normal. I still get the popups.

There are times when portsdb has problems and there are times when

libvorbisfile.so.3. If artsd doesn't start, you don't have knotify sounds. It
turns out that arts is dependant on libvorbis but doesn't have it as a
dependancy. A short time ago, libvorbis was updated and a -u didn't update
arts.

Well, both versions of tcl and tk are separate ports for usually that kind of
reason. The only other choice is to develop patches for scilab and pass them
on to the maintainer. The easy out is to just install them and not worry

That may be because the current version is apache-2.0.48_1. It looks like your

Have you tried different mirrors and do you have a timeout on your connection.
My ports-supfile was similar to yours but I have removed all of the extraneous
