Hi all;

Ok uber noob question here.

I have gettext-0.14.5 installed from the package tree, I want to update
to

gettext-0.17_1

Is there a ways to do that with the pkg_add or some other command?

I google'ed it and only found ways to update local ports sources...(which
means I either suck at google or fbsd or both)

Thanks for understanding my noobness.

ext2fs: strange behaviour after alternativ boot into other OS

2008-02-03 Thread Axel Burwitz

Hi,

is maybe somenone also noticing the following behaviour in FreeBSD 7.0
RC1 on his system:

- have besides the FreeBSD slice additional some data partitions with
ext2 on two discs in my system. As long as I only boot with FreeBSD,
everything fine.
- but when I occasionally boot with XP (from there I access via IFS the
ext2fs http://www.fs-driver.org/
) or with Linux and access these partitions,
- then after following boot into FreeBSD these partitions don't get
mounted, but I have to fix them with fsck first and then can mount them

in 6.2 I had not seen this behaviour

Axel

6.1-STABLE : make installworld fails

2006-05-12 Thread Axel Burwitz

Hi,

well, need some help...

I have just upgraded my system from 6.1-PRERELEASE to 6.1-STABLE, with
cvsup, make buildworld, make buildkernel, make installkernel.

The upgrade for the basic system went through, it shows 6.1-STABLE
version, and the fresh kernel version works, but:

when I (in single-user mode) want to start make installworld (while
being in /usr/src) to upgrade the userland, it only gives

Installing everything

cd /usr/src; make -f Makefile.inc1 install

=== share info (install)
=== include (install)

Creating osreldate.h from newvers.sh
touch not found

*** Error code 127

Stop in /usr/src/include.

*** Error code 1

No idea what to do now.

For any help: thanks in advance!

regards
Axel
