Hi, I've got problems blanking/burning cds on my teac cd writer, burncd will fall into nanslp and stop responding: 1288K 624K nanslp 0:01 0.00% 0.00% burncd I know that this was an issue a while ago but is it fixed yet? how to extract winzip files?
Hello, Is there a way, I can uncompress zip files made under win? Unzip from ports collection probably can't do that: End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive. and I'm sure this is not multipart archive or broken file. Dc-gui port under 5.2 RELEASE
Hi, Has anyone tried /ports/net/dcgui ? Every time I run it, splash screen appears and whole X win freeze, I have to kill -9 it from console. I had no problems with it under 4.9 so I think it might be 5.X problem. Anyone has same experience? problems after upgrade 5.1 5.2 RC1

primary and secondary soundcard
Hi, I use two soundcards on my Freebsd5.1 box - Sb Live and SB AWE64, FreeBSD somehow figured out that Live is better than Awe and made it primary soundcard. The reason I have AWE still in computer, is it's amplyfing skills /2x4W/ so I don't need aditional amplyfier. With Xmms it's fine, I just changed confile and enjoy music. But I can't figure out how to swap soundcards in RealPlayer and Mplayer. Is there a way how to change it system wide? realplayer and 2 soundcards
hi, I have two soundcars properly instaled on freebsd 5.1, one is SBLIVE and secon is AWE64 which I use as a 'amplyfier' /it has 2x4W!!!/. SB live is a DSP0.x and RealPlayer uses it as a default. How can I change it /globally or just in real player/ to the second one? Vim and C code
Hi, I would like to do some more advanced editing of my C programs in Vim, like to go through program step by step or to have 'watch' on some of variables. All I've achieved now is syntax highlighting and Quickfix with :make command. I know there is EMACS somewhere out there, and other more complex enviroments, but I would like to stay with Vim, which I presonally like. A link to some tutorial would be exactly what I need. I've followed all the steps from faq/disks 9.2 carrefuly /*eg. dump 0af - / | restore xf -*/ and finally set bootable in sysinstall. All the data are there when I tried to mount it but it is still bugging me with 'invalid partition' message during boot. Vertical Sync on Nokia Monitor
Hi, I'm running XF86 on freebsd 5.1. I would like to get at least 85Hz in 1152x864 on my Nokia 447Xi Monitor. I've set HV values in xfconfig (30-92, 50-150) but it still working on just 75Hz (default?). I've been experimenting with xvidtune for a while but I supose there is some better way to change it. SB AWE 64 on 5.1
