Dear list,
I do wonder a little about the difference in the size for my
/dev/vinum/usr reported by vinum list and df h.
I concatenated three 1303MB partitions. vinum list shows as expected a
size of 3909MB for volume usr, but df -h shows me only the size 1303MB.
Why?
TIA

Dear list,
Compiling Samba 2.2.8a_2 on FreeBSD 4.10 I saw the option to enable ACL
support for samba.
But Using Samba claims:
--with-acl-support
Includes support for Windows NT/2000/XP access control lists (ACLs). For
this to work, you need to have POSIX ACL support in the host operating
Dear list,
I have read somewhere that vinum doesn't harmonize too well with FreeBSD
5.x due to FreeBSD's GEOM.
Is that true? Should I rather use FreeBSD 4.x if I want to use vinum?

Dear list
I can't seem to get colored xterm window borders to work
xterm -geometry 80x50 -fg blue -bg red
Works well, giving me blue letters on red background, but
xterm -geometry 80x50 -fg blue -bg red -bd green
gives me just the same ... the -bd some_color flag doesn't work (see
xterm(1))
