I use sylpheed with bogofilter. If I understand the combination right they are seperate programs, bogofilter is a program what gets invoked by sylpheed (or Claws in your case). Install the bogofilter port and try again. You can invoke bogofilter from the command line to see it is there and works.

I have claws-mail built the way I want, it's just that there was an update with portupgrade that installed the package from the repository. Suddenly my 'Spam/Ham' button wasn't working, took me a little while to figure out that claws-mail had been updated.

I like to use claws-mail with the bogofilter plugin as it is fast and simple. The package is built without bogofilter and I wondered why that is so. Does having claws-mail built with bogofilter conflict with something else? Or is this a legacy of the time when the plugin was a separate port?
