I just tried creating a bootable USB stick with UNetbootin from FreeBSD-9.1-RELEASE-i386-dvd1.iso. The stick was blank (newly formatted). While UNetbootin worked it asked about overwriting the following files: /usr/bin/cc /usr/bin/cc /usr/bin/mail /usr/share/man/man1/cc.1.gz
