the mouse looks like this:

I think "Protocol" should be "Auto" if you're going to use

I have a new triple booted Dell Inspiron 5150 and the mouse
works with WindowsXP, Linux, and I can't get it to even be
detected with FreeBSD-5.2.1 installed from CD.
