I'm sure there is no network problem. Here is the dump on the client :
# tcpdump -n host
192.168.1.101 192.168.1.102
which includes both the Macs. But when I ran it on my Mac
$ showmount -e 192.168.1.100
I got this error
RPC: Timed out: Can't do Exports rpc
so I went back to the FreeBSD machine and tried again
$ showmount -e localhost
and now get the same
on localhost:
/usr 192.168.1.101 192.168.1.102
which includes both the Macs. But when I ran it on my Mac
$ showmount -e 192.168.1.100
I got this error
RPC: Timed out: Can't do Exports rpc
so I went back to the FreeBSD machine and tried again
$ showmount -e localhost
and now get
