When FreeBSD starts up, you see a screen (on an IBM PC ) with a heading line that says: FreeBSD/i386 (Amnesiac) (ttyv0) It is followed by a blank line and a "login:" line. There are 7 other like screens with heading lines that differ in the digit following "ttyv", in tho
