cvsup'ing from 4.10 to 5.3.

I was curious as to if it is possible to cvsup from 4.10 to 5.3 (kernel 
and userland tools). Has anyone done this? Does it work well? Should I 
avoid doing this on a production box?

I would not suggest this on a production box at all.  this is probably
the first thing i'd look at if i had a production box i was thinking
up upgrading:
