problems with automake110
Hello, I want to port some application (Ekiga) directly from their SVN to FreeBSD 7.0R which is using $ ./autogen.sh --with-pwlib-dir=/usr/local to generate the configure / Makefiles and which fails; the problem seems to be that 'aclocal' or some of the M4 macros used are not working as they should: $ LANG=C aclocal --dry-run /usr/local/share/aclocal/smpeg.m4:13: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_SMPEG /usr/local/share/aclocal/smpeg.m4:13: run info '(automake)Extending aclocal' /usr/local/share/aclocal/smpeg.m4:13: or see http://sources.redhat.com/automake/automake.html#Extending-aclocal /usr/local/bin/gm4:/usr/local/share/aclocal/pilot-link.m4:1: ERROR: end of file in string autom4te-2.61: /usr/local/bin/gm4 failed with exit status: 1 aclocal-1.10: autom4te failed with exit status: 1 $ Maybe something is mixed up in the various versions which have been installed by all the ports: $ pkg_info | fgrep automake automake-1.10_3 GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.10) automake-1.4.6_4GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.4) automake-1.5_4,1GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.5) automake-1.6.3 GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.6) automake-1.7.9 GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.7) automake-1.8.5 GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.8) automake-1.9.6_2GNU Standards-compliant Makefile generator (1.9) automake-wrapper-20071109 Wrapper script for GNU automake gnome-common-2.20.0 Common automake macros for GNOME and GNOME 2 Could someone pls give me an idea how to solve this?
