What exactly from this command: # dd if=/dev/acd0c of=file.iso bs=2048 doesn't fit your purpose ? Hi Brain, is there an x app out there that can be used to rip a data cd. If you define 'ripping a data cd' as 'creating an ISO image', you can use ports/sysutils/xcdroast, which is also a nice X11 frontend to cdrecord. Simon pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature

It is a port that allows you to create cds and copy them.
