This is definitely not true.  Hopefully the opposite will happen and more
people will pay more attention to their logs messages.

In the U.S. (and some other countries?), April 1st is known as "April
Fool's Day". This is when everybody plays pranks on each other. As an
example, very few posts to www.slashdot.org can be trusted on April 1st.

months.

This is true for Freebsd?

I normally read my syslog file, but if it's true, you are going change for
