$ freebsd-update fetch Fetching metadata signature for 7.0-RELEASE from update.FreeBSD.org... failed. No mirrors remaining, giving up. I've heard this before and it is caused by resolvers (most likely your router?) which don't understand requests for SRV records. Use your ISPs nameservers instead of your router and it should be fine.
