After installing FreeBSD 7.1 I've got problem with my network card.
[root ~]# uname -a
FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE #1: Thu Apr 9 13:34:46 NOVST
2009 root@:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/LAPTOP i386
[root ~]# pciconf -lv
... cut ...
no...@pci0:6:0:0:class=0x02
With GENERIC I have same problem.
My network card is Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet.. (14e4:1684
subsystem 1025:014b).
I think, it's BCM5764.

cd - returns you to previous location, for example..
