Hi. I need an advice on how to set-up a RAS on FreeBSD.
We were previously using BSDi with a Digiboard PC XEm
pci card conneted to a digibox with about 40 - 50 modems
on our RAS server. BSDi has a ppp shell which we assign
to new users when their accounts are created. And their
dial-up session

Im using FreeBSD 4.7 Stable in my NEC Versa Note laptop. The Video card is Neomagic
Magic Graph 128 XD. My xserver works very fine before when I was still using it's LCD
display monitor but when I connected it to a CRT monitor (NEC Multisync xv14) , it
displays a message that "INPUT IS OUT
I've just finished rebuilding my FreeBSD 4.7 Release to FreeBSD 4.8 Stable. The
upgrading process went out fine. I have also updated the ports collection. My problem
is regarding the installation of some ports. I ussually recieve the following error
messages :

There are a myriad of factors that could have caused those services to be
inaccessible. First try to check if those services are running. Try
sockstat -4
