2007-07-15 Thread Razmig K
Hello, I double-boot Windows XP and FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE, and my disk layout is as follows: Windows drive C in ad1s1, FreeBSD slice in ad1s2 and extended partition containing Windows drive D in ad1s3. I found that I no longer need to use ad1s3 as Windows drive D, so I would like to use that space

IPFW with user-ppp's NAT

2008-03-15 Thread Razmig K
Hello, With IPFW enabled in the kernel, I'd like to use the NAT functionality of user-ppp instead of natd. Do I need the IPDIVERT option in the kernel and the special arrangement of divert and skipto rules in the ruleset? Or, a non-NATed ruleset (as demonstrated in handbook section 28.6.5.6)

2008-07-19 Thread Razmig K
Hello, I could successfully extract the last track, no. 7, on a pretty worn-out audio CD issuing the command: % cdda2wav -D 0,0,0 -t 7 (0,0,0 being the SCSI device corresponding to the cdda2wav -scanbus output) while I have failed doing so earlier via: % cdda2wav -D /dev/acd0 -t 7 since it

Intel 802.11agn: Disabling n?

2008-08-13 Thread Razmig K
Hello, I intend to acquire a notebook with the mentioned wireless option, and I understand that its driver, iwn, is still in development stage. I spotted a mention to a disabled n in a recent thread: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-questions/2008-June/176638.html. Is there a
