I'm running 4.8-RC and every time just before the login prompt i get this message:
"Starting local daemons: [: missing ]"
What is the reason for this message to appear and how do i correct it?

I'm trying to compile version 1.4.0 of Evolution, however at some stage I receive the
following error:

I've set LANG to C and tried again. It didn't help. All the errors were the same.
Normally my locale is set to ru_RU.KOI8-R
and it didn't stop previous versions of Evolution from compiling and installing.
What else do i need to provide to try and solve this problem? TIA
Hello. I'm trying to install evolution 1.4.4. "Make" part is going fine,
however when I try "make install" I get the following:
