So I got a replacment 200GB HD sent to me. Put it into the system and
fire up the FDISK util in /stand/sysinstall. It warns me that I should
verify the drive information. It presents me with 24321/255/63 and
warns that it should match what the firmware sees. Well, when FreeBSD
4.8 fires up, it
, the firewall administrator does not want to give me the IP
address of his internal interface (I'm mapping to a 10.*.*.* network).
Is this going to be a problem?

Howdy all.
Just installed FBSD 5.0 on a system with a 3Com card (xl0). I'm having
trouble with apps such as telnet, ftp, etc resolving domain names. All
the entries in /etc/resolv.conf are okay. I can nslookup names until
the cows come home. What did I miss?

Comment out the firewall options, rebuild and blamo problem goes away.

98% of it is commented out.
I'm seriously ready to give this thing the fork alright. But I do not

One more sendmail question. After installing the ports version and
telnetting to my local host on port 25 I get the following greeting:
